EAST PEORIA, Ill.Regions Bank on Wednesday announced the opening of a new Regions branch serving East Peoria and surrounding communities.

“The East Peoria branch is the first Regions location in Illinois to offer new options, including Regions Video Banking, which expands personal service to evenings, weekends and holidays,” said Mike Hart, Midwest Area President for Regions Bank. “The branch is also staffed with dedicated, local financial professionals who can sit down with customers and help them develop plans to reach their financial goals. With this location, we are not only making a visit to the bank more convenient, we are also making it more meaningful for our customers.”

The new branch is at 160 Spinder Dr., near the intersection of Spinder and West Washington St.

In addition to the branch’s on-site professionals, Regions Video Banking service offered at the branch can connect customers with a Regions representative via live, two-way video. Along with processing most teller transactions, Regions Video Bankers can help customers with account maintenance, general inquiries and more.

Video Bankers are available during extended hours on weekdays (7 a.m. – 8 p.m. CT). They are also available on Saturdays (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Sundays (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and during most holidays (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

A demonstration of Regions Video Banking is available here.

Further, the East Peoria branch offers a Regions DepositSmart ATM. In addition to dispensing cash, a DepositSmart ATM can accept deposits and cash checks for customers at any time, day or night.

The DepositSmart ATM is located in a 24-hour vestibule at the front of the facility, along with one of the branch’s two Video Banking ATMs. After branch hours, the vestibule is accessible through the swipe of any ATM or debit card, including those from other banks.

The additional Video Banking ATM is in the drive-through on the side of the branch. Outside of Video Bankers’ hours, Video Banking ATMs function as standard ATMs.

“Regions is committed to Peoria and Central Illinois, and this location is a reflection of that commitment,” said Tricia Ann Johnson, Consumer Banking Manager for Regions in Central Illinois. “Through superior service and modern technology, we are offering a branch-banking experience that is designed to meet the needs of today’s customers. Certainly, we see growth in our online and mobile channels, but we find our digital customers continue to use branch locations as well. This branch is the latest example of how Regions is working to serve people when, where and how they want to be served.”
