FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Oct. 15, 2018 – Regions Bank on Monday announced Kelley Brown-Murro has joined the company and will serve as Market Executive and Commercial Banking Leader in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and surrounding communities.
Brown-Murro joins Regions following 20 years of experience serving a wide range of business clients for global financial firm HSBC Bank. For the last 12 years, she has focused on serving companies across the Southeastern United States that have a variety of complex, international banking needs. Known for her collaborative approach, Brown-Murro is committed to working with clients to help them develop comprehensive strategies to achieve long-term financial success and growth.
“I am honored to join the Regions team, and I am excited to leverage the company’s local approach to delivering highly customized financial solutions,” Brown-Murro said. “South Florida is an international community, and we serve local clients who conduct business globally. They value having a bank that offers financial expertise combined with local-market knowledge that can help them achieve their long-term goals. I am privileged to lead our Commercial Banking professionals, and, as a South Florida native, I am passionate about the opportunity to support our community engagement initiatives.”
Brown-Murro was born and raised in Palm Beach County.
“I will always be grateful for the global experience I have gained over the past 20 years,” she said. “Now, I am looking forward to remaining based in this area, serving the people, businesses and communities that make South Florida such a vibrant place to call home.”
The daughter of a banker, Brown-Murro began her career as a teller for Citibank when she was just 16. She later earned dual undergraduate degrees in Finance and Marketing Communications from Florida State University. Brown-Murro also holds a Master of Business Administration in International Management from Lynn University in Boca Raton.
As Market Executive and Commercial Banking Leader, Brown-Murro will guide Regions’ local bankers as they deliver an array of financial solutions to large companies and major employers throughout the area. Further, Brown-Murro will play a key role in Regions360. Through Regions360, the company’s bankers take the time to learn the goals of each client and then collaborate with colleagues from across Regions’ departments – such as those providing branch banking, commercial banking, mortgage services, investment services and more – to provide services that are tailored to the client’s individual needs.
Additionally, Brown-Murro will work with colleagues and community members throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties to identify ways for the bank and its associates to make a meaningful difference in response to local needs and opportunities. Through volunteer service, nonprofit support, delivering financial education to community members, and more, Brown-Murro and Regions bankers will consistently reflect the company’s commitment to serving and strengthening South Florida.
“Regions Bank is focused on working closely with local clients and listening to the needs of our communities as we deliver financial services and community engagement that are designed to make a valuable difference in South Florida,” said John Turner, Regions President and CEO. “Kelley’s expertise, combined with the experience of our local teams, will help Regions further strengthen its focus on serving Broward and Palm Beach Counties. We are committed to the success of our communities and to consistently developing new ways to serve.”
In addition to Brown-Murro, Regions’ leadership team serving South Florida includes Channing Thornton, who serves as Consumer Banking Executive leading branch-banking operations at Regions locations throughout the area. Thornton joined Regions, formerly AmSouth Bank, in 1999 and has held roles of increasing responsibility in shaping the personal services the company delivers through its branch network.
Also, Chris Cruzpino serves as Private Wealth Management Area Executive for Regions. Cruzpino and her teams in Broward, Palm-Beach and Miami-Dade Counties deliver tailored investment advice and market insights to Regions clients. A veteran of 34 years in the financial services industry, Cruzpino joined Regions in 2008. In addition to leading the bank’s Private Wealth Management division in South Florida, Cruzpino serves as Market Executive for Miami-Dade.
Brown-Murro will consistently collaborate with Thornton and Cruzpino as their teams work to deliver the bank’s comprehensive range of financial services to people and businesses across the area.
