MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Regions Bank on Thursday announced the return of Arthur DuCote to serve as Market Executive for the bank in Montgomery and the River Region.
DuCote previously led Regions’ Montgomery-area teams from 2001 to 2013, when he moved to Jackson, Miss., to serve as Regions’ Mississippi Area President.
“While serving as Montgomery Market Executive, in many ways, represents a homecoming to a community I know and love, it also represents an exciting opportunity to build on Regions’ legacy of locally based, community-focused service and support,” DuCote said. “Regions is uniquely positioned to offer the comprehensive services of a larger bank while also providing local bankers who are constantly in touch with the needs and opportunities affecting the people we serve. I am honored to lead the collaboration of our teams in Montgomery as we work together to deliver a wide range of financial services for the benefit of our clients.”
In addition to his role as Montgomery Market Executive, DuCote will serve as Commercial Banking Leader for Regions in the Montgomery area, overseeing the bank’s array of customized financial solutions for large companies and major employers in Central Alabama.
Further, as Market Executive, DuCote will work with colleagues and local organizations to identify ways the bank and its associates can have a meaningful impact in response to community needs. Volunteer service, nonprofit support, delivering financial education, and other activities, are all representative of Regions’ dedication to strengthening the cities and towns served by the bank.

DuCote has worked for Regions and its predecessor companies since 1992. A leader with extensive experience in business banking and private banking, he was named Regions Area President serving Central Alabama in 2001. He remained in that role for 12 years before being named Area President in Jackson, Miss. DuCote began his banking career with Hibernia Bank in Louisiana in 1988.
DuCote is now part of a local leadership team that guides Regions’ services for individual banking customers through the company’s branch network, as well as investment and trust services for Regions Private Wealth Management clients, and commercial banking solutions for area businesses. Together, DuCote and Regions’ Montgomery leadership will focus their teams on reaching the objectives of Regions360, the bank’s comprehensive approach to meeting customers’ needs.
