MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Regions Bank on Thursday announced the return of Arthur DuCote to serve as Market Executive for the bank in Montgomery and the River Region.

DuCote previously led Regions’ Montgomery-area teams from 2001 to 2013, when he moved to Jackson, Miss., to serve as Regions’ Mississippi Area President.

“While serving as Montgomery Market Executive, in many ways, represents a homecoming to a community I know and love, it also represents an exciting opportunity to build on Regions’ legacy of locally based, community-focused service and support,” DuCote said. “Regions is uniquely positioned to offer the comprehensive services of a larger bank while also providing local bankers who are constantly in touch with the needs and opportunities affecting the people we serve. I am honored to lead the collaboration of our teams in Montgomery as we work together to deliver a wide range of financial services for the benefit of our clients.”

In addition to his role as Montgomery Market Executive, DuCote will serve as Commercial Banking Leader for Regions in the Montgomery area, overseeing the bank’s array of customized financial solutions for large companies and major employers in Central Alabama.

Further, as Market Executive, DuCote will work with colleagues and local organizations to identify ways the bank and its associates can have a meaningful impact in response to community needs. Volunteer service, nonprofit support, delivering financial education, and other activities, are all representative of Regions’ dedication to strengthening the cities and towns served by the bank.

“Regions is focused on working closely with local customers and listening to the needs of our communities as we deliver financial services and community support that are designed to make a valuable difference in Montgomery and beyond,” said John Turner, Regions President and CEO. “Arthur’s expertise, combined with the experience of our entire Montgomery leadership team, will help Regions further strengthen its focus on this vibrant area. We are committed to the success of our communities and to consistently developing new ways to serve.”

DuCote has worked for Regions and its predecessor companies since 1992. A leader with extensive experience in business banking and private banking, he was named Regions Area President serving Central Alabama in 2001. He remained in that role for 12 years before being named Area President in Jackson, Miss. DuCote began his banking career with Hibernia Bank in Louisiana in 1988.

DuCote is now part of a local leadership team that guides Regions’ services for individual banking customers through the company’s branch network, as well as investment and trust services for Regions Private Wealth Management clients, and commercial banking solutions for area businesses. Together, DuCote and Regions’ Montgomery leadership will focus their teams on reaching the objectives of Regions360, the bank’s comprehensive approach to meeting customers’ needs.

“Through Regions360, our local personnel who serve individual customers, business customers, and investment clients, also work hand-in-hand with each other to make sure we’re delivering the best services Regions has to offer in response to local needs,” said Brandon Greve, Regions Consumer Banking Executive. “This includes not only in-person financial services but also digital services designed to help our customers conduct their financial business whenever, wherever, and however they prefer.”

“Regions doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to meeting our clients’ needs,” added Robert Birmingham, Area Manager for Regions Private Wealth Management in Montgomery. “Instead, we take the time to listen to the long-term objectives of each of our clients, and we develop clear plans to help them reach their goals. Our teams look forward to building on our collaboration as we welcome Arthur DuCote back to Montgomery.”

“I am excited to begin this new chapter with Regions in Montgomery as we deepen the relationships we have with our local customers,” DuCote concluded. “The River Region has tremendous potential to build on its growth as companies create more jobs and as individuals seek to reach their personal financial goals. Regions will be here with them as an experienced, local source of financial advice, guidance and education, every step of the way.”
