PASCAGOULA, Miss. – July 18, 2019 – Regions Bank on Thursday announced Charles W. “Chase” Maxwell, Commercial Relationship Manager for Regions, has been promoted to serve as Market Executive for the bank in Jackson County.
Maxwell is part of a team of Regions leaders who will leverage their local experience and market insights to expand Regions’ client base along the Mississippi Gulf Coast while also taking a strategic, proactive role in addressing needs affecting Pascagoula, Ocean Springs and other communities.
Chase’s expertise, combined with the experience of our entire South Mississippi leadership team, will help Regions further strengthen its focus on this vibrant area.

As Market Executive, Maxwell will work with colleagues and community members to identify opportunities for the bank to make a meaningful difference through volunteer service, nonprofit support, delivering financial education, and more. Maxwell will also continue serving as a Commercial Relationship Manager guiding Regions teams that deliver customized financial services to business clients and major employers in the area.

Maxwell joined Regions in 2015 as a Commercial Relationship Manager in Gulfport. Before joining Regions, Maxwell worked in Mortgage and Consumer Banking roles with other financial institutions in the area. He began his banking career with AmSouth Bank, which merged with Regions in 2006. Maxwell brings more than 14 years of banking experience to his new role.

Maxwell graduateed from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, Management and Finance. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Banking. Active in the community, Maxwell’s involvement includes previous roles with Leadership Jackson County and the Jackson County Mississippi Young Bankers Association. Maxwell and his family live in Ocean Springs.

Regions’ South Mississippi leadership team also includes Cheryl Johnson, Market Executive for Gulfport, Biloxi, D’Iberville, Bay St. Louis and Picayune. Additionally, Johnson serves as Private Wealth Management Lending Advisor, overseeing Private Wealth lending activities for Regions across Mississippi. In these roles, Johnson leads a team of professionals who support community engagement outreach and works with clients to provide tailored financial solutions to meet individual needs.
Further, John Anderson serves as Consumer Banking Executive. Anderson and his team lead branch-banking operations at Regions locations throughout the area.
Together, each of these leaders, across all departments, will focus their teams on reaching the objectives of Regions360, the bank’s comprehensive approach to meeting customers’ needs.
