Regions Bank Announces Major Renovation of Downtown Trussville Branch

Temporary branch will serve customers as renovations are completed.

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. – Regions Bank on Tuesday announced a major renovation planned for the company’s Downtown Trussville branch located at 193 Main Street.

Over the coming months, the branch will be transformed into a more modern banking facility designed to meet the needs of today’s consumers.

“This renovation is the culmination of extensive planning as well as close work with the City of Trussville to ensure our renovation will support and enhance the ongoing redevelopment of the downtown area,” said Leroy Abrahams, North Central Alabama Area President of Regions Bank. “The renovated branch will give customers expanded access to personal services, and we are also incorporating new technology to help us serve more people when, where and how they want to be served.”

While renovations are underway, a temporary modular branch will be on-site to serve customers. The modular facility functions as a fully staffed bank branch with Regions associates offering a wide range of financial services. The facility also includes an ATM.

Safe deposit boxes will remain within the existing Downtown Trussville facility. Regions associates at the modular branch will assist customers with access to the boxes in the main facility by appointment.

The modular branch will open to customers on Tuesday, May 31 at 9 a.m. It will remain on-site until the opening of the renovated facility, which is expected before the end of the year.

“During the renovation, we will remain downtown to continue meeting the needs of our customers,” said Brandon Greve, Consumer Banking Executive for Regions in North Central Alabama. “We have been carefully planning this renovation for a long time. We are excited to move forward, and we look forward to unveiling a completely redesigned, more modern facility that will reflect our continued commitment to quality service and technological innovation.”

As part of the renovation, the exterior of the branch will be updated with one of Regions’ latest branch designs.

Inside, the traditional teller line will be replaced with an open layout where customers will be greeted directly by Regions Universal Bankers. Universal Bankers are experienced banking professionals who provide a variety of services ranging from simple transactions to opening accounts to helping customers build a roadmap to achieve long-term financial goals.

Further, the renovated branch will become one of the latest to offer Regions’ Video Banking ATMs.

Video Banking ATMs connect customers with a Regions representative via two-way video. Along with processing most teller transactions, Regions Video Bankers can help customers with account maintenance and general inquiries. Regions Video Bankers are available during expanded hours, including weeknights, Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays.
