Regions Bank Continues St. Louis Expansion With New Florissant Location

Florissant branch becomes one of the most modern Regions locations in the Midwest.

FLORISSANT, Mo. – Regions Bank on Monday announced the opening of a new branch serving Florissant and surrounding communities in North St. Louis County. The branch is one of the most modern Regions locations in the Midwest, and the public is invited to experience its unique blend of new technology and personal service.

“Our new Florissant location and other branches we’re opening across St. Louis are designed to reinforce the value of personal service from local bankers who understand the financial needs and opportunities affecting people and businesses in our community,” said Mike Hart, Midwest President of Regions Bank. “We’re expanding our local teams with bankers who are focused on having deeper conversations with customers to better understand their needs and help them reach their financial goals. At the same time, we’re offering the latest in technology, so when people need quick, efficient service early in the morning, late in the evening, or even on Saturday or Sunday, our new branches can meet those needs as well.”

This is Regions’ latest investment in North County, where the bank has also opened new or renovated branches recently in Jennings and St. Ann.

In Florissant, the new branch is at 100 Highway 67 North, near Washington Street and Charbonier Road. The facility replaces an older Regions location at 1100 Shackelford Road.

The open design of the new branch does not include a traditional teller line. Instead of waiting to be called up to a counter, when people walk into the new Florissant branch, they are greeted face-to-face by a local Regions banker who can help with everything from general transactions to more in-depth needs, such as planning budgets, analyzing financial options or creating a roadmap designed to help people accomplish their individual financial goals.

The branch also becomes the latest in the St. Louis area to offer Regions Video Banking. The branch includes three Video Banking ATMs in the drive-through as well as a walk-up Video Banking ATM in the foyer.

Video Banking ATMs allow customers to choose to connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video for personal service in a convenient setting. Along with processing most general transactions, Regions Video Bankers help people with account maintenance and general inquiries during expanded hours.

Regions Video Bankers are available on weekdays from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. CT. They are also available on Saturdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and during most holidays.

Even outside of Video Bankers’ expanded hours, the branch’s ATMs can always function as DepositSmart ATMs. In addition to dispensing cash and providing account information, DepositSmart ATMs can accept deposits of cash or checks at any time, day or night. They can also cash checks around the clock, providing another quick, convenient option for Regions customers.

Other features include Regions’ facial recognition and fingerprint technology for customers using safe deposit boxes. This system employs several layers of technology designed to enhance security surrounding safe deposit boxes while improving access to boxes for Regions customers.

“Regions continues to invest in online and mobile banking channels to help people bank whenever, wherever and however they want. At the same time, branches are still the primary place where people prefer to open accounts and have discussions about personal financial goals,” said Phil Snyder, Consumer Banking Manager for Regions in St. Louis. “This branch places a premium on customized service while providing technology upgrades designed to meet the needs of today’s consumers.”

The branch is now open, and the public is invited to speak with Regions associates who can illustrate the branch’s features and work with community members on a wide range of financial matters. Branch personnel will also participate in Florissant’s Valley of the Flowers festival from Friday, May 4-Sunday, May 6, with a special giveaway planned during the May 6 parade. People can also register through May 5 at the branch to win a $500 Visa gift card.

In addition to the new North County branches, Regions has opened locations in St. Peters, University City and Clayton in recent months. Regions also plans to open branches in Lake St. Louis, the Twin Oaks-Ballwin area, Des Peres and O’Fallon, Missouri, beginning this spring and continuing through fall 2018.
