Regions Bank Opens Marion Branch Offering New Technology, Expanded Access to Service

Local professionals offer advice, guidance and education to help customers reach financial goals

MARION, Ind. – Regions Bank on Wednesday formally unveiled the company’s new branch serving Marion and surrounding areas. The branch is designed to offer a more modern banking environment while reinforcing the value of personal service from local bankers.

“Regions Bank is committed to serving the people and businesses of Grant County, and we are proud to welcome our neighbors to a new branch that offers the latest in technology along with customized services from our local banking team,” said Phil Nunn, Consumer Banking Executive for Regions in Indiana. “Whatever you’re looking for in a bank, you’ll find it here. We offer expertise and individual attention from our banking professionals. You can also choose modern features that make banking more convenient and more accessible than ever.”

The branch is part of the University Marketplace development along S. Western Avenue near Indiana Wesleyan University. It replaces an older Regions branch along Kem Road and offers a convenient location that is highly accessible to current and new Regions customers along one of Marion’s main thoroughfares.

The modern facility is still a full-service branch staffed with local, experienced professionals. However, the branch’s design also incorporates new technologies as well as a greater focus on personal service. For example, in addition to processing routine, general transactions, bankers at the new location are focused on offering more in-depth conversations with customers about how they can develop customized financial plans to reach their own, unique goals.

The branch also brings the Regions Video Banking service to Marion for the first time. A Video Banking ATM at the new location allows customers to choose to connect with a Regions Video Banker via live, two-way video during an expanded set of hours. Along with processing most general transactions, Regions Video Bankers help customers with account maintenance and one-on-one questions.

Regions Video Bankers are available on weekdays from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. ET. They are also available on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Sundays from noon-6 p.m. and during most holidays. Customers can learn more about how Video Banking works in this video.

Even outside of Video Bankers’ expanded hours, the Video Banking ATM in the branch’s drive-through can always function as a DepositSmart ATM if the customer chooses. In addition to dispensing cash and providing account information, DepositSmart ATMs can accept deposits of cash or checks at any time, day or night. They can also cash checks around the clock, providing another quick, convenient option for Regions customers.

Other features include Regions’ facial recognition and fingerprint technology for customers using safe deposit boxes. This system employs several layers of technology designed to enhance security surrounding safe deposit boxes while also improving efficiency of access for Regions customers.

“Regions continues to invest in online and mobile banking channels, but at the same time, branches are still the primary place where people prefer to open accounts and have discussions about personal financial goals,” said Mike Stilwell, Consumer Banking Manager for Regions. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to this new location and showing them how Regions is making banking easier, and more meaningful, for the people and businesses we serve.”
