ForcesUnited has served more than 15,000 veterans and their families over the last decade.

Those who have served our country often come home from war to find their lives in chaos and crises, struggling to find housing, employment and a much-needed support network.

There are more than 66,000 warriors in the Augusta-Aiken area who may not be getting the help they need and deserve.

ForcesUnited, previously the Augusta Warrior Project, provides assistance to warriors in Augusta, Aiken and 31 other counties in Georgia and South Carolina. Over the past 10 years, we have served more than 15,000 veterans and their families, providing crisis mitigation, encouragement and resources to thrive in our communities.

ForcesUnited is the only nonprofit of its kind in the surrounding area that brings together all the available resources to assist local veterans — wounded or not — from WWII to post-9/11. Not only do we serve all veterans, we also assist family members — recognizing their great sacrifice as well.

In the past 12 months, our employment team has secured jobs for almost 300 warriors. This is in addition to more than 2,000 other veterans receiving assistance in stable housing, education, benefits assistance, health and wellness, and crisis mitigation.

The Mission

Our mission is to help local service members, veterans and their families, from all eras – wounded or not – connect with programs and resources that mitigate crises, improve their lives and empower them to prosper in our communities.

What would you do with 100 volunteer hours and $5,000?

$5,000 would be used to provide for multiple veteran needs. It will provide emergency funding for food and hotel accommodations until stable housing can be secured, or used for employment assistance, putting veterans back on the road to self-sufficiency through permanent employment.
